Outrank.so review (2026): what $99 a month buys

Outrank costs $99 a month for 30 articles, about $3.30 an article, or $999 a year. Everything past that is a paid add-on, most of them monthly:

Outrank's sign-in page offers a free 3-day trial. One reviewer reports a small charge to start the trial; Outrank's reply on Trustpilot calls it a card check it will refund.

Outrank reviewers who edit range from changing "very little" to "always requires manual modifications".

Outrank does not interview you: it starts from a keyword, so what only you know reaches the post only if you add it in the edit. The review step its pages describe comes once the article is written.

Outrank lets you review articles before they publish, and sells human fact-checking at $1,399 a month; the base plan has an AI review. Backlink placements are different: its terms say those go live with no preview.

Outrank's backlink exchange carries a risk you can't control: customers' sites link to each other automatically, its terms say links are placed with no preview or approval step, and you indemnify Outrank against any search penalty. Google's spam policy names excessive link exchanges as link spam.

The upside doesn't cover that risk. Outrank users report Domain Rating gains; Domain Rating is Ahrefs' own metric for backlinks, not a number Google ranks by. And Google says its systems neutralize unnatural links, so "any credit passed by these unnatural links are lost". If Google treats them as unnatural, they pass nothing; any penalty is yours.

One five-star reviewer reports 40+ backlinks in a couple of weeks. One review reports repeated sites; another, failing backlink verification.

Outrank users report Domain Rating gains, Ahrefs' score rather than Google's, but give no traffic figure. One user reports zero pages indexed on Bing, another a drop in impressions.

Outrank's pricing page says cancel any time and its terms state no cancel path; some 2026 reviewers report no way to cancel in the app, and a YouTube commenter found a manage-subscription link. Refunds close after 7 days; in Outrank's words, "After the 7‑day period, all sales are final and non‑refundable."

Support is the top complaint: users describe slow replies or none.

Before the trial or renewal ends, set a reminder and try "manage subscription" in the app; keep a record of cancel requests.
